Mary Leah Miller was born in Raleigh, North Carolina and graduated from Duke University in 2004. After finishing college, Mary Leah entered Cumberland School of Law at Samford University where she received her law degree in 2007. While at Cumberland, Mary Leah was actively involved in the trial advocacy program. During her first year of law school she was the winner of the Parham H. Williams Freshman Trial Competition as well as the Judge James O. Hayley Summer Trial Competition. From 2005-2007, Mary Leah was a member of Cumberland’s National Trial Advocacy Team. Mary Leah served on the Trial Advocacy Board and was elected to Cumberland’s Honor Court each year of law school. While pursuing her law degree, Mary Leah was also a member of the American Journal of Trial Advocacy. She was a Who’s Who Among Students In American College and Universities, and a national member of the Order of Barristers.

Mary Leah’s practice is focused on the areas of automobile crashworthiness, products liability and personal injury cases where individuals have suffered catastrophic injuries.

Mary Leah is on the Junior Board of Directors for the Alabama Civil Justice Foundation.  She is also a member of the American Association for Justice, the Alabama Association for Justice, the Alabama Bar Association, the Birmingham Bar Association and the Mississippi Bar Association. She is admitted to practice in all state and federal courts in Alabama and Mississippi.
