Joel DiLorenzo graduated from Auburn University in 1997 where he obtained his B.A. degree. Following college, he entered Cumberland School of Law where he received his law degree in 2000. As a law student, he was very active in the trial advocacy program and served on the Cumberland Trial Advocacy Board from 1999 until 2000. After graduating from law school but before entering private practice, he served a one-year term as the law clerk to the Honorable Judge Pamela Willis Baschab on the Alabama Court of Criminal Appeals. At the conclusion of his judicial clerkship, he began his work in the private sector as a litigator, focusing primarily on commercial trucking litigation and products liability actions. For the past six years, he has been privileged to represent a variety of individuals and class action clients on a local, regional and national level in cases ranging from consumer fraud to pharmaceutical litigation. He is an active member of both the American Association of Justice and the Alabama Association for Justice (formerly ATLA) where he currently holds a position on the Executive Committee and serves as President- Elect of the AAJ Young Lawyer's Division. Joel’s practice is focused on the areas of automotive crashworthiness, products liability and personal injury cases, in which individuals have been seriously injured or killed. He is admitted to practice in all state and federal courts in Alabama and Mississippi, and is also licensed to practice before the Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals, the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals and the United States Supreme Court.
